According to the account, the hiring recruiter was five minutes late to the interview call. They then proceeded to not turn on their camera, stating they didn’t feel they looked presentable after a weekend in Las Vegas. The candidate asked whether or not to turn their camera off, but the recruiter insisted they keep it on. “I was already feeling uncomfortable at this point but still went ahead with the conversation,” the user wrote.

The recruiter began the interview by asking the candidate why they moved to the U.S. from Canada. The user explained the relocation had come as a result of their recent marriage, and as a result of their move, they were no longer able to stay on with their Canadian employer.
